2021 Goldeneye Pinot Noir Anderson Valley
We knew this was going to be a delicious wine and boy, did it deliver.
This is the Goldeneye Pinot from Duckhorn and their Anderson Valley fruit. We’ve tasted previous vintages (not from Costco) and have always enjoyed this wine. Tasting this 2021 vintage was a nice reminder of how good this really is.
Costco’s price is super competitive at $35.99. Retail is $62 and even discounted, retailers like Wine.com are selling it for $50.
Ratings-wise, this is low – mid 90 points almost every year we found, including a giant 95 points rating for this wine’s 2020 vintage from Wine Enthusiast.
This is really nice Pinot Noir, delicately and elegantly delivered in a super easy drinking wine. Nice red fruit and clove on the nose, pale ruby on the pour; flavors of raspberry, cherry and blackberry with notes of vanilla and spice; earthy in the close.
This one is just delicious all around; super food friendly with just about anything. Also a perfect Thanksgiving wine pick for anyone getting a late start.
