We return to GEORGIA this month to visit wineries in Imereti, Racha and Guria. CHARDONNAY AND PINOT NOIR FROM FORT ROSS ON SONOMA’S PACIFIC COAST  plus California’s best Chenin Blanc and Pinotage made by Jeff Pisoni at this vineyard established by owners from South Africa.

 

RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY AND STA RITA HILLS CHARDONNAY AND PINOT NOIR made in the distinctive style of the Gary Farrell Winery.

SONOMA COUNTY CHARDONNAY AND PINOT NOIR from highly regarded winemaker James MacPhail.

SONOMA & SIERRA FOOTHILLS:  Native American winemaker Rob Campbell’s new Meyye Wines releases with Coast Miwok names on bird labels.

SANTA LUCIA HIGHLANDS & MONTEREY:  New releases from Sabina Rodems, the long-time winemaker at Wrath.

RIO GRANDE DO SUL is Brazil’s best wine region.  Ambassador Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti recently showed us how well Brazil’s red wines pair with picanha at Fogo de Chão.
